Hi there! I'm the president of Le Cercle Français at my two-year college in Connecticut, and I figured starting up this community would be a good way to trade ideas and resources with other clubs across the country (and maybe even the world?). This is my first year as president and I hope to continue next year, so I'd really love any tips anyone has to share.

So far this year, we've gone to a local museum twice, each time to see French-related art shows (Rodin and Surrealism), gone to a theatre to see The River by Jean Renoir, sponsored a family over Winter Break, collected clothes for Haitian relief, run a book drive, and...I know there's something else, but it's slipping my mind. We're also planning on participating in April in Paris in some way or another, which is an annual festival in Hartford.

What I've found is that people tend to get really excited about our plans, and then they don't come through in the end. Our attendance for events is really low. :/ Anyone else been through this and care to share some advice?
